Printer profiles allow automatic color compensation for differences in printers and media configurations as well as the effects of resolution and dot pattern on an output. Although you can print a job using no profiles at all, using ICC Profiles produces greater color fidelity.

Select the Media Profile:

1. Select the [Printer and MediaA paper or other substrate that the printer creates images on.] tab.

Print Modes can have any number of variables, intended for different output targets. Some examples of multiple print modes for the same media are: High Speed, Production, High Quality, and Ink Saving Modes. Select Color Management Preset:

1. Select the [Printer and Media] tab.
2. In the [Color ManagementDevice dependent Color Spaces RGB and CMYK are both referred to as device dependent color spaces because the colors defined in these spaces are intrinsically associated to the devices they are defined on.] area, select Color ProfileA specific description of how any device either sees or produces color information as referenced by an industry standard color target. By default, the setting is [All ICCICC (International Color Consortium) A group of hardware and software companies dedicated to the development of a specification that is operating system independent and provides the digital imaging, printing and related industries with a data format for defining the color and reproduction characteristics of devices and their related media profiles On]. Select the desired profile for your workflow using drop-down menu.

To change a profile:

1. In the [Color Management] area, click [Change Profile…] button (Figure 2).
2. Select the input profiles, output profiles, and rendering intents you want to use.
3. Set options you want to use, and click [OK].
